Le département arbitral remet l'Antwerp à sa place

L'Antwerp était furieux après l'élimination en coupe contre le Sporting d'Anderlecht. Selon les Anversois, les arbitres ont eu une trop grande influence sur le résultat du match. 

Selon eux, Denis Odoi n'aurait pas dû être exclu, le but de Verschaeren aurait dû être annulé pour une faute de main et un pénalty aurait dû être accordée pour une faute de main d'Augustinsson. 

Décisions correctes de l'arbitre

Ce vendredi, le département des arbitres a répondu à ces attaques. Selon eux, Denis Odoi a été expulsé à juste titre après avoir interrompu volontairement une contre-attaque, et balancé un ballon vers le banc anderlechtois. De plus, ce sont les arbitres assistants qui ont informé Jasper Vergoot et non la VAR. 

Concernant la possible faute de main de Verschaeren, il n'y a aucune preuve que le numéro 10 du RSCA ait touché le ballon. La main d'Augustinsson n'a quant à elle pas pu être sifflée car le bras du Suédois était dans une position naturelle.

✅ Anderlecht’s first goal correctly awarded:

The VAR found no clear evidence of a possible handball during ball control. In such cases, the on-field decision of the referee is always upheld, and the goal was therefore rightfully validated.

✅ Dennis Odoi’s exclusion was fully justified:

🟨 2nd yellow: Uncontrolled reaction—decision made solely after consultation with the assistant referees, Not the VAR.

✅No penalty for Antwerp: Correct decision

Ludwig Augustinsson gets an unexpected and bouncing ball ball against the arm in his own sixteen, but his arm is in a natural position and there is no movement from the arm towards the ball.
